To understand the mechanism by which Cwc2 interacts with our complex, we analyzed published cryo-EM images of the spliceosome in the catalytically relevant stages of spliceosome assembly and activity.We will combine these observations with affinity measurements of Cwc2 with RNA complexes representing the three and four-helix conformers to obtain a better understanding of the protein-assisted stabilization of the RNA-based catalytic core of the spliceosome
